Is an old Acer notebook, but others have also had issues in Wine Bugzilla. Seems to have issue with AVX flag not supported in CPU.
Simple test $ wine notepad 002c:err:seh:NtRaiseException Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x6fffffc4c573 0034:err:seh:NtRaiseException Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x6fffffc4c573 003c:err:seh:NtRaiseException Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x6fffffc4c573 with WINEDEBUG=+heap wine notepad it will open, but is still flaky. Did an interesting test. Created a VirtualBox clean install of Fedora 42, and it gives exact same error. 10.8 works fine, but 10.9 thru 10.12 fail. Created a VirtualBox clean install of Ubuntu 24 and it works fine. So, not sure if it is a difference in the wine build between the two, or the base OS? Was expected a 10.13 to come out on 7/25, but hasn't been any updates on winehq? All my new machines have no problem. Thanks. +------------------------------------------------------------+ Michael D.
