When I try to create a VM of F43
virt-install --name ubuntu-vm-01 --ram 8192 --vcpus 2 --disk
path=/run/media/pgaltieri/SDNVIRTLAB06/VirtualMachines/KVM/VMs/ubuntu-vm-01,size=50
--cdrom
/run/media/pgaltieri/SDNVIRTLAB06/OperatingSystems/Ubuntu/ubuntu-24.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso
--network network=default --os-variant ubuntu-stable-latest
I get
Starting install...
Allocating 'ubuntu-vm-01'
| 50 GB 00:00:08
Removing disk 'ubuntu-vm-01'
| 00:00:00
ERROR Network not found: no network with matching name 'default'
Domain installation does not appear to have been successful.
If it was, you can restart your domain by running:
virsh --connect qemu:///session start ubuntu-vm-01
otherwise, please restart your installation.
Looking at the available networks
virsh net-list --all
Name State Autostart Persistent
----------------------------------------
no default network, on the other hand
sudo virsh net-list --all
Name State Autostart Persistent
--------------------------------------------
default active yes yes
So what do I need to do to create the default network?
Paolo
