I do not understand the numbers, i.e. free + used + buff != total

available is relevant for you, as this is the amount of memory that can be used by applications that are running or being started. This can include memory that is being used for caching/buffering purposes, but can be cleared immediately.

4Gi available is fine, but a lot of applications seem to be running according to the value of used.
