Think the version may no longer be in repo so can not be
reinstalled. Thine it is at version 50 now.
On Fedora 44
rpm -q gnome-shell
gnome-shell-50.2-1.fc44.x86_64
On Fedora 43
rpm -q gnome-shell
gnome-shell-49.7-1.fc43.x86_64

what does dnf update gnome-shell show.
