SOLVED! Thanks for the suggestions again. I just removed completely the 1.29 Geany, along with all plugins and was just to try installing the new one, ran ./configure and I opened the README file and surprise - it opened in Geany 1.34.1 ! So the problem was the existence of the old Geany. Now my only question is -- will the plugins for 1.34 work with 1.34.1 or should I wait for 1.34.1 plugins?
There will be most likely no 1.34.1 release of g-p and yepp, they will work.
