It should be looking to $II_SYSTEM/ingres/<something> for disk space if it can't find any elsewhere, for example, /tmp. Heck, even Windows has C:\TEMP (or varriant thereof). There's NOTHING that should go into any ole random directory - ever! - without good cause for it to be the local current directory of the user. It's not as if it doesn't/can't know where its disk space is! I don't know if you write software or not, but I do, and I would be embarassed beyond belief if any code I wrote behaved this way. Anyway, in short, it impacts usability (without cause) and is therefore a usability bug (presuming one ranks the severity of bugs).
