Hello Yasar,

Having a dual Ingres installation is a good idea, for the reasons you give
(or separate some DTW work from production, etc).

Having 2 ingres installation on the same box suppose the following :
- 2 values for II_SYSTEM
- 2 values for II_INSTALLATION
- take care of users and ingres profiles for ingres environment (wich one of
the 2 II_SYSTEM they choose or the have by default, how you batches work
with Ingres environment today, etc)
- Node configuration if you have client/server access
- Possible confusion when dealing with Ingres pb (ie you stop the wrong
installation) : set the shell prompt with II_INSTALLATION or whatever you
have)

This list is (probably) not complete ...

Hope this help,
Jean-Pierre
