I downloaded IPY2.6beta2 to test this script: from reportlab.graphics.shapes import Drawing, String from reportlab.graphics import renderPDF d = Drawing(100, 100) s = String(50, 50, "Hello World", textAlign='middle') d.add(s) renderPDF.drawToFile(d, "HelloWorld.pdf", "HW") IPY 2.0.2 takes 20 seconds; IPY 2.6beta2 about 8! But it takes long....CPython takes less that a second. I have executed profiling from Curt post <http://blogs.msdn.com/curth/archive/2009/03/29/an-ironpython-profiler.aspx> .
