Hi Tomasz,

We have done the exact config. given on below URL which you have shared but
still we did not get the desired output. Routes for virtual network does not
appear in global routing table of physical gateway router.
Have you done this type of configuration if yes then request you to share
network topology with ip address schema and configuration if possible. Thanks.

Dear All,

We would like to enable communication between VMs in virtual network inside
contrail and other external networks which are beyond external physical gateway
router. For that we have configured external Juniper router as a BGP peer to
existing Control node. But would like to know what configuration or
configuration changes need to be done on physical juniper router so that it
enables communication between virtual and physical network. We have installed
Juniper contrail 2.0 with icehouse openstack and MX 240 router.

Kindly inform if any sample config example or configuration required for
physical juniper router.

Thanks & Regards,

Dear Team,

We would like to know how to integrate Juniper contrail 2.01 with existing
Openstack servers. I know there is procedure to add compute node manually. In
the same way if I have installed Juniper Contrail on physical servers along
with compute nodes and required to integrate existing Openstack server with
that Contrail. Kindly inform if any procedure for the same.

Subject: Juniper Contrail Deployment
________________________________

Dear Team,

We are trying to install Juniper contrail with Icehouse Openstack. However we
are facing few issues in deployment. Below is the brief about setup.

Total 3 physical rack mount servers. We have installed CentOS 6.5 with Contrail
2.0.22 & Icehouse Openstack. Server-1 consist of Control, Config , Analytics
and Icehouse Openstack functions. Server-2 is a compute node. We have also
installed Qemu KVM on both servers. For server-3 we are planning to install
VMware ESXi and planned to add as a compute node in existing setup.

Below are some of the issues :
Not able to properly spin-up service VMs such as firewall or load balancers. We
have observed only one network interface exist in the newly spawned virtual
machine instead of two interfaces. When we tried to add another interface but
it was not getting added.

Would like to know which vendor service appliances such as Juniper vSRX or
other vendor FW, load balancer has been completely tested in Juniper Contrail
& Openstack Icehouse environment and how to create additional interfaces in the
juniper vSRX firewall.

Request you to provide step by step process for VMware Hypervisor ( ESXi)
integration as a compute node to Juniper Contrail. Certain steps given in
Juniper document with fab commands but would like to know step by step detailed
process. Request your help/expertise. Thanks.

Raviraj Velankar

Hi Raj,

Can you state the exact problem you are facing after doing configs from the
URL?. Plus please provide a basic network diagram showing the nodes and
external gateway. Thanks
