upgrading to 1.8 may change things in your cfg . See the doc on migration from 1.7 to 1.8 :
http://www.opensips.org/Documentation/Migration-1-7-0-to-1-8-0
and evaluate the impact on your setup.

                                Be sure you "sipcapture" module
                                is compiled and installed in the
                                '/usr/lib64/opensips/modules/'directory
                                . By default this module is

                                excluded on purpose.
