Something to think about for a wintery night. :)

I am on so many lists that have gotten me so much spam that I need
some help. Even with all that gets bounced away, I can get 500-1000
spams per day.

Part of this whole arm adventure is to see how it performs.

Yes, I was getting about that much as well, and between the
4 measures I implemented I get maybe 2-3 per week, all
without using spamassassin.

Nolisting is "free" in terms of resources.
RBL checking is almost free.

Those two dispose of most of the spam without having to resort
to scanning the payload.

Clamav-milter and uri-milter wipe out the few that get
through, and they are still quite cheap. Clamav-milter
is rather memory intensive (clamd is about 150MB or so),
due to the database it keeps loaded, but there is no sensible
way around that.
