Hi All,

Some two months ago we had a lively discussion about RSEL 6.7

IIRC, the whole thing is complete whit the exception of Firefox.

where do we go from here?

AFAIAA, only Ffirefox and Thuderbird are still resisting attempts to
build them on RSEL6.

Given that web browsers are a bit of a leaky sieve as far as
security is concerned, that is a problem, at least for those
running RSEL6 on the desktop (albeit nor really an issue for
server deployments.

Until we can get FF and TB to build the only thing I can suggest
is that we remove all versions of FF and TB from the repositories.
It is a sad state of things, but I think availability of a package
with known security issues is worse than no availability of it at
all.

Thoughts?

P.S.

Yes, I am aware that refactoring and merging of various repositories
as well as a associated package signing is vastly overdue. I will try
to do something about that over the next week.
