Hi All, I started building RedSleeve 7.3. There probably won't be a release before Centos 7.3 is officially released. That said, I've got a fairly decent set of rpms build by now. I did not test any on install yet (other than dependencies for build)
To be able to sync the results to you, I need to cleanup some disk space here. @Gordon, could you stop syncing RSEL6 stuff? I'm not working on this any more and don't expect to any time soon. Probably this is a good time to start putting our changes on github. @Bjarne, can you tell how you do this? You have more experience with this than I do. Over to the content side of the 7.3 build: _Notable changes_ - glibc does no longer build out-of-the-box. It needed a little patch - we need newer kernel-headers. I adjusted upstream's kernel package to build only the headers. - mesa-private-llvm probably cannot be updated on our CPU - valgrind also cannot be updated - I was finally able to update java-1.6.0 (I now know how to disable ARM32JIT) _Stats_ 442 packages are build without change 1 package is still building (libreoffice) 23 packages needed patches 2 packages with errors, which I expect to be unsolvable 8 packages still have various solvable errors 68 packages are new, i.e. have no counterpart in RSEL7.2. I have not yet looked at those. _Issues_ * ruby-2.0.0.648-29.el7.src.rpm test_ssl.rb fails. It also fails on x64_86 and armv7 unsure what the issue is. I hope somebody else (CentOS?) finds a fix. * abrt-2.1.11-45.el7.src.rpm broken by CentOS during debranding, waiting on them for a fix * scap-security-guide-0.1.30-3.el7.src.rpm "RuntimeError: internal error in regular expression engine" https://github.com/OpenSCAP/scap-security-guide/issues/1332 Apparently this is a python bug which only manifests on 32bit architectures. Unsure how to proceed: - patch python? - patch scap-security-guide? - drop scap-security-guide? * custodia-0.1.0-4.el7.src.rpm * gnome-abrt-0.3.4-8.el7.src.rpm * ipa-4.4.0-12.el7.redsleeve.src.rpm * python-cryptography-1.3.1-3.el7.src.rpm * python-jwcrypto-0.2.1-1.el7.src.rpm missing dependencies. Either on on of the above or on rpms I expect to be in upstream's extras tree. dependencies I now have no source for: - libcmocka-devel - nss_wrapper - python-cryptography-vectors = 1.3.1 - python-hypothesis Does anybody know how where to find the git repo of CentOS' extras? Jacco
