As far as I can tell the perl-Frontier-RPC package (provides Apache::XMLRPC et al.) as presently available from RPMforge for el5 is still the same source code that it has always been ... which means it depends on Apache:: modules (v1) and mod_perl, whereas RHEL 5 ships with Apache2:: and mod_perl2 (even though the package is still named "mod_perl", sigh).
Am I simply wrong about this? If I'm wrong, can someone detail what has been changed in order to make this package work with Apache2? If I'm not wrong ... the package, as-is, is just plain broken, and should be removed. I have a .src.rpm containing spec file and patches to support mod_perl2, which I'd be willing to make available. It probably needs some work to replace this RPMforge package (e.g., it installs into /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl rather than .../vendor_perl, etc.). _______________________________________________ users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.rpmforge.net/mailman/listinfo/users
