I would second that. I have no problem with compressed log files

(in fact Firefox automagically opens the Archive Manager, so I only

to double click on the filename). So please choose whatever is more
beneficial for the repo. If diskspace is a concern, than I'd prefer
gzip'd logs.
May I suggest using bzip2? Even better compression, though at the cost
of needing more resources to compress and decompress. But maybe worth
it if disk space or traffic is an issue.
