I think its worth just going over the list of things that we discussed for the buildsys rehash tread. Take away points from there that could be marked against.
Also, Jesse did a fairly comprehensive version control eval for Fedora sometime back ( maybe 18 months or so ) - many things from there would still be relevant, so its worth looking over. Although Hg and Git have both moved fairly rapidly in the last year
