beta11 provided libcucul.so.0, the new version does not.

The current xine package has a dep on libcucul.so.0, so upgrading libcaca would require uninstalling xine.

Yes, I am aware of it. In fact I am looking into updating xine as well, but it requires an lirc update. It seems an endless effort...

And all this for an update to a library that is needed for a vlc that we can not build anyway :-/
