toc() i.e with () instead of toc

The Scilab code doesn't display anything. I thought I'd go like this (based on example from the Scilab manual): tic(); realtimeinit(1); realtime(0); realtime(10); t = toc; printf("Time (tic-toc) %f \n",t); That doesn't work.
