When I run Scilab-5.5.0.app I get the following error: "JavaVM: requested Java version (1.5) not available. Using Java at "/System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/Contents/Home" instead. Could not create a Scilab main class. Scilab cannot create Scilab Java Main-Class (we have not been able to find the main Scilab class. Check if the Scilab and thirdparty packages are available)." Why does Scilab look for a certain Java version? If I run scilab-cli-bin from the terminal I get: dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libxml2.2.dylib Referenced from: /Users/dwwatson/desktop/scilab-5.5.0.app/contents/macos/bin/scilab-cli-bin Reason: Incompatible library version: scilab-cli-bin requires version 12.0.0 or later, but libxml2.2.dylib provides version 10.0.0 Trace/BPT trap even though libxml2.2.dylib from Macports is in my path before /usr/lib/libxml2.2.dylib. I can run scilab-cli from the terminal and it works. -- View this message in context: http://mailinglists.scilab.org/Scilab-5-5-0-fails-to-start-on-Mac-10-9-4-tp4031079.html Sent from the Scilab users - Mailing Lists Archives mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ users mailing list users@lists.scilab.org http://lists.scilab.org/mailman/listinfo/users
