We've had quite a few submissions (some of them are even almost as good as RedGreen) and a reasonable number of votes.
So heres the deal:
* Voting closes at the end of Thursday (17/4/2003). (While it's still 17/4/2003 somewhere in the world, you can vote. You may not create your own timezone or claim you were in a chronal vortex). You can still make logo submissions if you so desire, but voting won't be extended.
* The PMC will decide if the winner is appropriate - eg. if there is a late stampede of votes for RedGreen they can still veto.
* The default logo will be updated and anyone building Maven from CVS will notice that the powered by logo appears on their sites
* One day, beta 9 will be released with this "functionality" built-in. If you ask when it will be released, a bunch of Maven heavies will visit you while you sleep.
For those of you who are building from CVS now, you can set the logo by adding
maven.xdoc.poweredby.image=maven-redgreen.png
to your project.properties file. See the end of this post for a list of possible values. Maven will take care of loading the correct image out onto your site.
