The relationship is more one of Maven and Ibiblio. The Maven PMC is
responsible for overseeing all Maven related projects, of which there is
only one currently. Ibiblios stated mandate is to help disseminate open
source software, they have a responsive support staff, the installation
is very secure, it's well maintained and we don't have any licensing
problems with (L)GPL'd artifacts. I have also talked with them about
storing commercial artifacts and they currently don't have a problem
with that.
