I know this is a lame questions... But I've read a couple of articles that
use Reactor to bring together smaller projects into a common larger one. I
understand the concept.
I'm curious how other people are using this? I'd appreciate any examples anyone might have.
Look at some of the projects that use it and check out the code from cvs. Examples are: maven itself, geotools2 (http://www.geotools.org), plexus-components (http://plexus.werken.com/). Or if you're familiar with JBoss, I have a JBoss build which uses it. You can download the files here
