Storing links in a dozen or so pages is not the best practice - use a
templating language :)
Versioning CSS and Java Scripts is a really good idea - browsers tend to
cache them longer than pages in a few instances.

I agree that it should be possible. The best example is the WAR file itself
- you can't install it with its version into any application server because
the paths will change every time :)
