Thanks!  I ran it with "-Dgoal=clean,plugin:install,plugin:deploy" and it
appears to have worked fine.  However, I did get a warning with every
"plugin:deploy", for example:

"Warning: Contents of
c:\devtools\maven/plugins/maven-announcement-plugin-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar does
not match the unpacked contents of C:\Documents and
Settings\pofallon/.maven/plugins/maven-announcement-plugin-1.0-SNAPSHOT dire
ctory."

Looking at the jelly code, it prints this warning without actually checking
to see whether they really match.

Anyway, the build does work for me now -- thanks for the help!  Now I'm back
on the "bleeding edge" :-)
