I'm running maven version 2.2.1 Using the archetype plugin in a directory without a pom defaults to version 1.0-alpha-3 of the archetype plugin.
Why is it not pulling the lastest 2.0-alpha-4 version? How can I get it to use the latest 2.0-alpha-4 version when used by default without a pom file in the directory? The archetype plugin is not listed in maven-parent/11/pom.xml, so i'm confused as to how it's determining the version. Any ideas would be appreciated.
