Hi,

I've got a little problem concerning an exploded war. I'm using the
maven-war-plugin to assemble it.

The project to which I've been attached to needs the pom.properties file to
run. When I'm assembling the frontend as a zipped war with war:war, everything
is working fine. But when I'm assembling it as an exploded war with the command
war:exploded, my application crashes.
The reason is the missing pom.properties file in the META-INF directory. The
maven-war-plugin assembles a zipped war with the pom.xml file and the
pom.properties file, but an exploded war without them. When I deploy the
exploded war and copy the pom.properties file manually from the zipped war into
the META-INF directory of the exploded one, the exploded war is running
smoothly as well.

I've tried to configure the maven-war-plugin with the following parameters:

<configuration>
<archive>
<addMavenDescriptor>
                                                true
</addMavenDescriptor>
 </archive>
...
</configuration>

But the addMavenDescriptor parameter seems only to affect the goal war:war, but
not the goal war:exploded.
Does anyone of you know a way to assemble the exploded war with the
pom.properties included? And why are they excluded in an exploded war at all?

Thank you for your help.
Yours
Bernhard
