I have a set of files that I'd like included in all of our applications assembled artifact. Rather then having the XML copy and pasted in multiple locations I was wondering if I could there was a way to setup a shared component descriptor?
I realize I could add a dependency on the project that houses the component descriptor, unpack it then include it from the assembly descriptor but I was wondering if there was another way to do it much like the shared assembly descriptor functionality (http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-assembly-plugin/examples/sharing-descriptors.html)
