You can also upload the file from the webapp in Archiva, but you have to increase the max size for struts to allow larger uploads. Just increase the value of property "struts.multipart.maxSize" in apps/archiva/WEB-INF/classes/struts.properties. Maximum size that can be set is 2gb btw.
