This is exactly what I have done without any success. I suspect that the 
parameter cannot be changed once it has been set. And I am not able to 
detect where it has been set for the first time.

In addition, this is a value I should not have to set as it is the 
default value.

But how do I tell maven to search in  http://www.ibiblio.org/maven 
instead of http://www.ibiblio.org ?
