Well, until then you can put your common dependencies into a separate file and then use an XML include
to get it into the project.xml files. See the Maven Wiki article EnsureProjectConsistencyWithEntities at
http://wiki.codehaus.org/maven/EnsureProjectConsistencyWithEntities for details on the technique.
