As Manfred already said, simply don't ever revert/roll-back, but rather bump/roll the version forward by 0.0.1 and keep truckin'. Reverting is dangerous. You don't know "which" version 1.0.3 of an artifact is installed in any given Maven repo or repo cache, and things get awful messy in a short period of time. Don't go down this path.
