Googling hasn't turned up any answers so hopefully someone on this list can
help met. I am using Maven for simple dependency management and I am using
m2eclipse 1.1 to search for and download dependencies.

I recently noticed that the versions on the libraries I am searching for via
Maven are out of date. For example using eclipse, guava version 13.0-rc1 is
the latest available, but when I search on http://search.maven.org/ I see
the rc2 and a final version were released after that. If I manually specify
the version number, the artifact is retrieve successfully so the issue seems
to limited to searches.

I am wondering if the maven repo index file on maven central is out of date.
I have manually deleted my .m2 directory and forced a redownload/rebuild of
the index to no avail. When I browse to
http://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2/.index/ all files there are shown as
last modified on July 15 2012.

I am beginning to wonder if this is only affecting people in certain areas
due to the fact that (a) I don't see anyone else complaining and (b) Maven
central recently started using an new CDN [1] (c) I am connecting from
Jamaica

What dates do you guys see when you browse to
http://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2/.index/ ? Is there something else that
could be causing this issue?
