Depending on *how* bad your connection is, this might not work either.

The Maven Site project is 2mb in SVN, not so bad... but the Plugins
are huge... and like Wendy said, it needs Maven 2.0.5-SNAPSHOT too...
so hopefully you don't need them too. ;-)

This works, but be aware that Maven 2.0.5-SNAPSHOT is required to
build the plugin websites:

$ mvn site
...
[ERROR] BUILD ERROR
[INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------
[INFO] Error resolving version for 'org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-plugin-plugin
': Plugin requires Maven version 2.0.5-SNAPSHOT
[INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------

No good answer right now. :/  Doxia Book looks interesting, it should
make a PDF version of the website possible.
