Turns out there was a newer plugin version that fixes this.

P.S. Why are most of the assembly plugins not in the maven2\plugins
subfolder? Aren't all plugins supposed to be in this subfolder?

Subject: Embedded error: [current directory] isn't a directory.

I am using the assembly plug-in on a POM project. I get the following
error when I execute mvn assembly:assembly

Embedded error: [c:\svn\colordesigner\java\trunk] isn't a directory.

What could be causing this error? The specified directory is a
directory and all other maven commands work just fine.
