I tried your fix:

...
[DEBUG] Configuring mojo
'org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-assembly-plugin:2.2-SNAPSHOT:assembly' -->
...
[DEBUG] (f) manifestEntries = {mode=development}
but they still do not appear in the assembly.
What is wrong?
