but.... file:///my/path or file://localhost/my/path or file://127.0.0.1/ my/path, shouldn't all of these work? I don't think this was the cause of my problem....maven was able to commit the modified pom.xml to the trunk however it was unable to create a tag, the process failed at the last step....
