Does anyone on the list use CM Synergy as an SCM with Maven. I understand that it is supported (http://maven.apache.org/scm/synergy.html), but since Synergy is one of those lesser used, slightly obscure SCMs, I would not be surprised if the implementation is not as well tested as, say, SVN.
Has anyone used it successfully? Is it useful or has it been more trouble that it was worth? What would you recommend as best practices? Given that Synergy is much more than source control, can we take advantage of the higher order features - will Maven SCM integration work at the Task and CR level? or does it only work on files? Or, would we be better rolling our own with a combination of Maven, ANT Tasks and batch/shell scripts?
