Thanks for the clarification. From the way you describe it, I certainly dont
want to use the build-helper plugin. 
I think I'll have to resort to the antrun plugin.

But I'm curious what you mean by "modify the plugin to attach it's output to
MavenProject...". Where can I find more info on this?
