Thanks for your help Brett. Hm, yes the metadata looks outdated. I am wondering why though. Is there any setting that could prevent this metadata from being updated? What is weird to me is that it is apparently possible that a new version of the plugin is being installed without its metadata being updated... I can imagine that this is the root of the problem.
I don't have a proxy or repository manager, just a simple local repository. Running with -X shows that version 2.4.3 is being used, so help:effective-pom gives the correct value and help:describe the wrong value. Maybe I am overlooking some use cases here, but shouldn't the algorithm of help:describe be based on help:effective-pom to reduce the chance of a bug in help:describe (single source of truth)? - Rintcius -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Wrong-output-of-mvn-help%3Adescribe--tp19168212p19197372.html Sent from the Maven - Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
