I have exactly the same <packaging> and <plugin> as yours.

<packaging>jboss-esb</packaging>
<version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
<name>myEsb</name>
I use jboss-esb for packaging.
The codehause plugin jar was downloaded to my local repository.
Everything seems to be there.
Even if I run "mvn compile", I get the same error.
$ mvn compile
