However, no answers came and I didn't find a solution yet. I check out a project based on a floating tag in CVS. The tag indicates the code that can go in a release. Before the release plugin can update pom.xml correctly, I need to update the file to latest revision on the underlying branch to get rid of the sticky tag. I know the CVS command line to do it, but can it be done via the maven-scm-plugin?
