Hi Sonia,

the deploy goal has a "skip" property that can be set to true for particular
sub-modules, see 
http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-deploy-plugin/faq.html
http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-deploy-plugin/faq.html  for an
example.
