Gregg, IMO mailing lists are superior to the forums. I'm very frustrated by the JSF forum because its hard to have a quick back and forth exchange of ideas. The mailing lists are archived (my favorite is http://www.mail-archive.com) so they can be searched just like any forum.
Suggestion, get a gmail account from Google. Right now its in beta but its basically finished and many people on the mailing lists use them (I sent you an invitation btw.) I only use my gmail account to subscribe to the mailing lists. I just keep a browser window open and check it periodically. Gmail has 1GB storage space and has all sorts of filters so you can cut down on unwanted messages. Plus the searching on gmail is great. With the 1 GB storage capacity of gmail, I find I don't have to go the archive very often to find what I need. HTH, sean
