4. I deploy the app (no errors) and start up Tomcat 5.0.28 and get
this
error,
SEVERE: Error listenerStart
Here is the listener in my web.xml copied from myfaces-examples:
<listener> <listener-class>
org.apache.myfaces.webapp.StartupServletContextListener</listener-class>
</listener>
Any ideas?

This would probably be something worth doing. It would probably help new people out a lot.
For the near-term though, if you can use myfaces-examples.war as a starting point.
