Hi,

     I found there is already a request for this in JIRA, MYFACES-426.

Should I add it there? Does it need to be in any format, or can I just zip

up my well documented files (the changed files)?

Generall you should create a JIRA, and attach the patch to it. It will be reviewed and if accepted, incorporated by one of the committers.
