Mario, You'll get better acceptance of your new component if you provide patches for examples, documentation, tlds, and faces-config. Also, you need to correctly package it (It'll need to start in the sandbox). Otherwise, it's unlikely to be accepted until one of the committers needs it and is willing to do all of that work for you. Also, it'd be better if you could replace the phase listener with something else. Maybe you could queue a new event? Too bad there's no component involved, otherwise you could just override processUpdates(). There may not be an easy replacement, though.
