Hi, if you add a immediate="true" to the button, the validation and updateModel phases are skipped, so no messages are created, and invokeApplication phase is executed.

Hi All, How do you clear all the messages that are stored in the messages List in the Faces Context? The problem is that if I define a command button with type="reset" then it will not work if there are any messages in the message queue. The invoke application phase gets bypassed. Is there any way in which messages can be cleared when a reset button is clicked.
