Which of the two should I use? They seem like they're pretty similar, as Trinidad came to be as a donation of ADF Faces I believe...what is confusing is that there are some missing components in Trinidad (like those relating to menus), but Trinidad is also in "incubator" mode in Apache.
Of course I wouldn't want to start using something that may not even end up getting approved by Apache. Is ADF Faces "free" to use?
