My main issue is that after a valueChange Listener is triggered , the whole page is refreshed & it comes to the top of the page . The user has to scroll down to get to the place where he left .You can look into http://www.irian.at/myfacesexamples/autoscroll.jsf this link.
This might help you to solve the problem.
