just configure
Dynamic number of columns, add a column
tomahawk example with Sun JSF RI 1.2_06 and you will get the error:
java.lang.IllegalStateException
with message: UIColumns component must be a child of a UIData component
Please note that it is working with MyFaces 1.2 implementation.

It seems to work with MyFaces impl, but I have to use Sun JSF RI.
